How would you describe your role at Sunscrapers?
At Sunscrapers I'm full stack developer. I’m making web browsers talk to servers and servers talk to web browsers. And what is most important I’m making both talk to humans and vice versa. All of that in the most convenient and effortless way for the end user.
What’s your favourite thing about your job?
Creating new stuff is my favourite part of the job. It is very exciting when step by step complex systems are coming to ‘life’ as a result of my work. It's like building things from Lego - the possibilities are endless. And who doesn’t like Lego?
Who did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was young I thought I’m gonna be biologist or zoologist. I was bringing animals of all possible species to my house, despite my parents objections.
What’s your favourite TED talk?
How to sound smart in your TEDx Talk by Will Stephen
This silly presentation about nothing leads us to the important conclusion: When people sound smart, it feels like they know what they are talking about… even though they don’t. Therefore we should watch or read any content with a sceptical eye. Will also teaches us how to sound and look smart by adjusting voice, using hands gestures and presenting data in a way it looks professional.
What helps you to recharge?
Spending time with my friends is what helps me recharging my batteries. In the summer we go for outdoor activities or just chill at the riverbank. During long winter evenings we like to play board games. Nothing keeps friends closer beating them in Scrabble.
