How would you describe your role at Sunscrapers?
I build awesome stuff.
What was your impression after a week at Suncrapers?
“These guys have strong integrity and they deliver what they promise”, I thought. A lot of things can go wrong when you apply for and start a new job as a remote employee. None of them did at Sunscrapers. Technical on-boarding was spot on, and when I heard that our mission is to make clients happy (rather than to prioritise on writing code or bringing revenue) I knew I was home.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A dustman - they had the coolest trucks. I changed my mind when I learnt how early in the morning they need to get up. I settled for a PhD in philosophy and professional experience as a software engineer instead.
What do you like to read?
YA fiction is my guilty pleasure. I once wrapped the Twilight books in the dust jacket of Günter Grass’ “Tin drum” to look less guilty.
3 things that are the essence of your life.
I love learning new stuff, no really. Foreign languages, technology, or how the dishwasher really works. I like coffee with milk and cold northern countries.
I also dream of moving to Tokyo one day.
