Few words about the project
We're looking for Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join one of our remote projects.
We are carrying out a project for our partner, a New-York based company, listed on the Forbes 500 worldwide ranking. Our client is a large private equity fund, that invests globally in infrastructure, hedge fund solutions, credits, and real estate.
As Senior AWS DevOps Engineer you will be part of the internal Data-DevOps team. The team is responsible for providing runtime and automation solutions that empower data teams to run workloads in the public cloud.
DevOps engineers rely on software engineering principles and an “automate everything” mindset to deliver powerful pipelines and orchestration platforms necessary to drive the next wave of innovation of the firm.
The position involves the design, implementation, enhancement and support of our CI/CD frameworks, container solutions, runtime environments, and supporting public cloud infrastructure.
As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer on the team, you will work closely with our platform engineers, security experts, and software developers across the firm to enable their applications in the cloud, provide self-service tooling, modernize deployments, and evangelize best practices.
The recruitment process takes 2-3 steps":" intro call (30 minutes), technical talks with Manager and CTO (one-two hours).
You will be working during Polish working hours.
What's important for us?
At least 5 years of experience as DevOps/Cloud Engineer or Architect, using AWS Cloud.
Very good knowledge of":" Basic Linux, Terraform, load-balancers, API handling knowledge, AWS, EC2, Kubernetes, API Gateway, AWS Lambdas, Python/Go, Docker, Networking
Nice to have":" File systems - EFS, SMB, ETL tools, Windows stack experience, Linux tools and administration, Ansible, Tableau, PowerBI, Windows environment.
Experience in working in the corporate environment and working independently.
Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting networks and distributed systems
Hands-on experience creating and managing Kubernetes clusters in different types of environments. Familiarity with access controls, secrets management, monitoring, and service discovery.
Understanding of storage capabilities (e.g., copy on write, deduplication, replication), Working with cloud storage such as EFS and On-Prem storage technology.
Fluent English (B2+/C1).
Your responsibilities will include...
Despite working in a data-tools environment, you will not be working on it daily, your tasks will be pure DevOps
Leverage infrastructure-as-code frameworks to provision and maintain cloud resources
Design and develop processes to improve system automation, speed, accuracy, and operational workflow
Partner with cloud security teams to harden and secure cloud infrastructure
Provide tooling and automated solutions to enable self-service
Improve availability, resiliency, and recoverability of key data storage systems by leveraging modern configuration management, deployment methods, and architectural patterns
Enhance observability and supportability of the database and other storage solutions in the cloud
Work closely with software engineers to improve operational workflows, capabilities, and provisioning processes
Work in an international environment, taking part in the internal team and business calls
