How would you describe your role at Sunscrapers?
I am a backend software developer. I like to design data models and implement algorithms. But most of all I like to make the software users happy.
What was your impression after a week at Sunscrapers?
I immediately felt at home. It was amazing to find so many clever, funny, interesting people. And with time, this feeling has only strengthened within me.
What is your background?
I developed desktop applications for translation between different languages. I came away with big affection to languages and natural language processing, and attention to details. And I learned how good it feels when users appreciate the hard work put into development.
What do you do on your days off?
On holidays me and my wife like to travel all over Europe by car, looking for castles, monuments and breathtaking views. On a weekend we like to go to a good rock concert, an interesting play, or have a home supper with red wine and an entertaining movie. And when the wind blows and sun shines I jump in a sailboat to cruise nearby waters.
What makes you laugh?
I love parody movies and absurd humour. I can watch Top Secret, Airplane!, Hot Shots or all Scary Movies over and over again. I've learned the meaning of life from Monty Python's films and 45 episodes of Flying Circus. And The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy is easily the best book ever written.
